Ramdasia community in ancient times had Weaving as their main profession. Ramdasia is a sub caste of Julaha caste (meaning weaver) named after their ancestral profession.
Ramdasia community suffered heavy loss during the Industrial Revolution ,soon after which they took to farming as their main occupation.
Today almost all Ramdasias have left their weaving profession and are into various diverse fields.
